In a small American town during the Iranian Hostage Crisis, three twelve-year-old American kids face their fears of an old Middle Eastern farmer by venturing into his forbidden barn. They must unlock the truth about their missing classmate and determine whether or not this man is the monster the town has made him out to be.
This coming of age story explores the effects of negative stereotyping of ethnic groups on young children during extreme political events.
