What
People are saying about the film:
"Dear Mr. Zahra, I viewed your DVD and found it had very
good production values. It
was inspiring and full of hope, as well."
Joanne Hardy, Fullerton Public Library
This
documentary is a powerful testament to the commitment of faith
communities to transcend religious boundaries and come together
to build rather than destroy. It is appropriate that we
should think globally and act locally, for sometimes issues
that we all care about deeply but that are halfway across the
world put up barriers in our communication and relationships
with each other right here. In making this brave and courageous
move, the three congregations created a model for others, locally,
nationally and internationally that it is possible to find common
grounds from which to make a positive difference, whether in
the lives of one Mexican family or in the lives of the global
family.
Zayn Kassam, Associate Professor
and Chair, Religious Studies, Pomona College, Claremont, CA
"I
screened “On Common Ground” and liked it so much
that I showed it in my Honors class at Chapman University. The
Honors students were also impressed. I will order a copy for
the Chapman library."
Dr. Joseph Runzo, Professor of Philosophy
and Religious Studies, Chapman University
"Dear
Ahmad, I just screened On Common Grounds. Wonderful! It is powerful
and well done, engaging and effective. It deals with a critical
issue -- constructive interfaith relations -- in an innovative,
grounded and hopeful way while gently inviting the viewer to
get involved."
Fr. Bob Bonnot, VP Hallmark Channel
"Dear
Ahmad, I saw the film at premier screening and I thought is
was great! Not only was it exciting to watch but it shows Muslims
as productive participants in an American society working side
by side with Jews and Christians. This will help the Muslim
Community's image a great deal. Thanks and keep up the good
work."
