Zahra Pictures to
release "Sadaqa" a film by Egyptian American
Filmmaker Wesam Nassar...
Zahra Pictures is preparing to release "Sadaqa",
the directorial debut of Egyptian American filmmaker Wesam
Nassar. This documentary film follows a group of Muslims
after 9/11 in their mission to fulfill a religious belief...
Sadaqa. The film gives us an in-depth look at one of the
fundamental foundations of the fastest growing religion
in the world, Islam. Wesam is a graduate of USC film school.
The film is produced by Ahmad Zahra and Executive Produced
by Mohannad Malas. The film will be released in January
2007.

Pictures in post-production of Fahmi Farahat's Documentary
film "Saudis in America"...
Saudi filmmaker Fahmi Farahat is currently in post production
of his feature film debut, "Saudis in America".
In this film he explores some of the more controversial
topics surrounding Saudis. This is the first film that
gives voice to Saudis and allows them to speak freely
about their culture, faith and ideologies. The film is
Produced by Ahmad Zahra and Executive Produced by Mohannad
Malas. It is slated for a 2007 release.

Pictures to release Bita Shafipour's short film "Color
of Friend"...
Zahra Pictures acquired the short film "Color of
Friend" by Iranian American Filmmaker Bita Shafipour.
The film tells the story of an Iranian woman who finds
a new inspiration in her art by falling in love. Bita
is a graduate of the University of Southern California
(USC). She has a bachelor's of Art. The film will be released
in 2007.

Pictures to release the second volume of "Uncle Abdo's
Stories"...
Zahra Pictures will release the second volume of "Uncle
Abdo's Stories", an Arabic animation series by Jordanian
production company Green Dome Animation. This DVD will
feature five new stories inspired by Islamic tradition
and will be subtitled into English to help children learn
Arabic while enjoying the captivating images and stories.
The DVD will be released in December 2006.
